Zoo Animals

A chameleon is a zoo animal at least in my zoo. Might not be what the creator of this challenge had in mind but I couldn't resist this cute little guy. The card sketch makes it look like you are viewing  him through a window like you see them at the zoo. I used rainbow stripes down the sides since chameleons are known for their color changing.

Supplies
Stamp - Lawn Fawn (One in a Chameleon)
Dies - Lawn Fawn (One in a Chameleon) MFT (Stitched Mini Scallop Circle)
Colored Pencils - Prismacolor
Ink - Versafine (onyx black) Colorbox (green)
Patterned Paper - Michaels (rainbow stripe) MFT (watercolor wash brights)
Cardstock - Bazzill (lime crush)

Atlantic Hearts #238

My supply of sympathy cards is quite depleted so I thought I would use this week's challenge sketch to create something simple and yet soothing using a yellow and white color scheme. This card began with an embossed layer by M'press with a round frame in the middle, I then added a stamped greeting by MSE and surrounded it with varied yellow flowers by Prima. I put Ranger liquid pearls in the center of each flower. I decided on an additional thin layer of black behind the white embossing to help ground the black lettering in the center. Hope you'll play along with us as the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  http://atlanticheartschallenge.blogspot.ca/

Rainbow Challenge at Casual Fridays

Here's my second card for the challenge. Used paper from the MFT 6x6 paper pad called Birthday Blowout for the background and stripes. I cut the shaped piece of white cardstock and inset the letters from different colors and stamped the ït's your birthday"underneath. I added a hand cut piece to the letter I to make it look like a candle with flame. Supplies: Patterned Paper - MFT (Birthday Blowout 6x6) Dies - MFT (All Smiles), Spellbinders (Labels 25) Stamp - MFT (All Smiles) Ink - Versafine (Onyx Black) Wink of Stella clear baker's twine Zig Clean Color Markers for flame
