Supplies Cardstock - Bazzill (easter grass) Patterned Paper - Imaginisce Stamps - KKS (Best Fur-iends) MFT (New Best Friends) Punch - EK (butterfly) Ink - VersaFine (onyx black) Colored Pencils - Prismacolor Ribbon

Always Fun #46 & MFTWSC#373

Zoo Animals A chameleon is a zoo animal at least in my zoo. Might not be what the creator of this challenge had in mind but I couldn't resist this cute little guy. The card sketch makes it look like you are viewing  him through a window like you see them at the zoo. I used rainbow stripes down the sides since chameleons are known for their color changing. Supplies Stamp - Lawn Fawn (One in a Chameleon) Dies - Lawn Fawn (One in a Chameleon) MFT (Stitched Mini Scallop Circle) Colored Pencils - Prismacolor Ink - Versafine (onyx black) Colorbox (green) Patterned Paper - Michaels (rainbow stripe) MFT (watercolor wash brights) Cardstock - Bazzill (lime crush)

The final product is a colorful and fun winter card. Supplies Stamps - KKS (Lexi's Winter Fun) Dies - MFT (Stitched Oval, Let It Snowflake Too), Echo Park (Winter Greetings) Patterned Paper - My Mind's Eye (Merry Little Christmas) Sticker - MAMBI Ribbon - American Crafts Wink of Stella white Punch - Martha Stewart (Glacial Snowflake)

Paper Players #381

Sew much fun challenge: use a sewing related item. I decided that a quilt card would be perfect for this challenge. I started by cutting the design from three patterned papers and one solid blue then pieced them together in the desired pattern. The quilt square was then layered on red cardstock before positioning it on a blue cardfront. A sentiment was embossed across the lower portion of the card. As a final touch a button was added to the center of the quilt square. Supplies Patterned Paper - Our Daily Bread (Americana Quilts 6x6) Die - Our Daily Bread (Dresden Quilt) Stamp - Hero Arts (Everyday Sayings) Embossing Powder - Stamp n Stuff (detail white) Button

MFT Olympic Challenges Completed

My final entries for all four of the Creative Olympics categories. This was a fun way to work with many of my recent additions and give myself a little motivation to make some cards.

MFT Olympic Challenge #4 Speed Cardmaking

Challenge: Complete 1 card in 20 minutes or less This simple card took every bit of the 20 minutes to put together and that was with all of my supplies gathered ahead of time but I like the finished card. I started with a plaid base, added a die cut piece of sno cone cardstock to the top, embossed the sentiment in white, and then added the die cut and embossed elephant. For the final touch I added a die cut heart and covered it with clear wink of stella for some sparkle. Supplies Cardstock - MFT (sno cone) Patterned Paper - MFT (subtle plaids) Stamp - MFT (beautiful baby) Die - MFT (stitched scallop basic edge, beautiful baby elephant and heart) Embossing Powder - Personal Stamp Exchange (white) Wink of  Stella clear

MFT Olympic Challenge #1 Stamping Slalom

This challenge was to combine 3 or more separate stamp sets on one card. I chose these sets: New Best Friends, Feline Better, and Critter Condolences. I began with cardstock cut from cool as a cucumber with the A2 stitched rectangle stax, added paw prints with clear embossing up the left side, wrapped ribbon around the panel. Stamped my images on a white rectangle and layered it on plaid before adding to the card. The sentiment and one of the cats are adhered with foam dots to add dimension. Supplies Cardstock - MFT (cool as a cucumber) Patterned Paper - MFT (subtle plaids) Ink - MFT (extreme black) Dies - MFT (feline better, A2 stitched rectangle stax, stitched oval) Stamps - MFT (new best friends, feline better, critter condolences) Colored Pencils - Prismacolor Ribbon

MFT Creative Olympics Event #3 Crafty Biathlon

The challenge was to combine a technique with a card style. I chose inlaid die cutting with a gate fold card. I die cut layered hearts, the larger heart from red cardstock and the smaller from white. Using the paw print from pet accents, I cut it into the white heart. I cut them a second time out of black cardstock and inlaid them into the white heart. I layered the hearts on top of a gate fold card that I had added a panel which has paw prints dry embossed on it and cut down the middle. Using foam tape on the left side of the heart and a velcro dot on the right side so that it will open and close. Inside I added a panel with the sentiment. Supplies Stamp - MFT (critter condolences) Dies - MFT (pet accents, layered hearts) Ink - MFT (extreme black) Embossing Folder - Darice (paw print bkgrd)

MFT Creative Olympics Event 2

Challenge is to create any card with a winter theme I am so in love with this adorable card! I started with the stitched collage frame, added a scene on the right side with the Pure Innocence ice skater and on the left side I chose to fill the three openings with plaid background and a snowflake die cut. The ice skater was paper-pieced with the plaid for her scarf and skirt and a solid pink sweater and leggings. The remainder of the little girl was colored with colored pencils. I added glimmer mist in pearl to the blue background to resemble falling snow. Die cut stitched valleys and 3 winter trees were added to the scene. Finally I've added a piece of transparency behind the lower right section to resemble ice. Supplies: Cardstock - MFT  (tickled pink, berrylicious) Patterned Paper - MFT  (homespun gingham, subtle plaids) Stamp - MFT  (PI ice skater) Dies - MFT (ice skater, let it snowflake too, winter trees, stitched valley, stitched collage ...

MFT Color Challenge #87

For the #87 Color Challenge I decided to make a card with a cat theme. I started with the stitched collage frame and some color blocking. Added stamps from 2 Pure Innocence sets, Purrfect and Feline Better, along with a die from pet accents. The little girl's dress was paper-pieced with a gingham paper. I like the simplicity of the final card with these colors. Thanks for visiting. Supplies: Dies - MFT (stitched collage frame, pet accents) Stamps - MFT (PI purrfect, PI feline better) PP - MFT (homespun gingham) Ink - MFT (extreme black) Cdstk - MFT (razzle berry, tickled pink, black licorice) Colored Pencils - Prismacolor
